Fullsteam Brewery - Packaging Technician
Job Summary
This is an entry level part time 25-30hrs week position. The Packaging Technician will be a part of a team on the bottling lines at Fullsteam Brewery whose primary responsibilities will be packaging our beer for sale and distribution.
In this role the Packaging Technician will be responsible for the following:
• Assist Production Manager in operation of the brewery's bottling and kegging line(s) and or Growler filler following all established policies and procedures.
• Perform loading/unloading of bottling components on the filling line.
• Performs building, unloading, and movement of pallets of components and finished product.
Performs routine cleaning and maintenance tasks; including the cleaning of filling equipment and other locations as needed.
• Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
Requirements:
• You should have a strong focus on quality, safety and efficiency, constantly evaluating work practices in the spirit of improvement.
• You must be able to lift up to 55 pounds repeatedly and maneuver 175 lb kegs as needed.
• Must be able to twist/turn, reach over shoulders and stand/walk on a continual basis.
• Work on your feet for over eight hours at a time
• Work in extreme temperatures for extended periods of time
• Work in loud production environments
• Work with chemicals of varying composition
• Work in damp/wet areas
• Work in confined spaces
• Ability to multi-task and follow directions.
• Work independently as well as a team player
• Strong mechanical ability with problem solving/troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work all shifts, additional hours & weekends as necessary
• A desire to learn and grow with the company
• Ability to drive a forklift (not required but a plus)
• You must be a great communicator, who is able to build rapport and camaraderie with entire brewery staff.
• A great attitude and passion for craft beer is required!
• Respect for fellow co-workers, supervisors, and managers
This position is not glamorous but a great way to get into the door of an expanding brewery and be a part of a really laid back but hard working team.
The ideal candidate would also have work experience in the brewing, beverage industry. Has experience with filters, labelers, packers, and sealers, experienced in operating a forklift, bottling line and tank/keg CIP experience, good mechanical skills and understanding of machinery, and a willingness to work on the packaging lines as a part of the packaging team. A passion for and working knowledge of the brewing process is a plus.
Fullsteam Brewery will not be offering compensation for relocation so preference will be given to local candidates. Preference will be given to experienced candidates.
