I'm considering adding a few 15 BBL Unitanks to my small 5BBL brewery. Basically this is going to be a band-aid until we work threw all the finacials to expand the brewhouse and add 30 BBL tanks. Does anyone see any anything that jumps out in the way I'm considering operating them? We make only ale's.
Brew 3 batches (on 5 BBL brewhouse), 2 on day 1, 1 then next morning on day 2 to top off. Let ferment and hold at 68 for 8 days. Crash over a day and then condition in the same tank at 32ish degrees for a week, dumping yeast along the way often. Carbonate via carb stone that would be in the upper part of the cone over a day or 2. Then fill kegs directly from the tank.
I have it plotted out on a spreadsheet, basically from start to finish its an 18 day process.
Will it work? We ferment in plastic tanks right now....gotta be better then that haha!
