  • ShurFlo pump leaking air

One of my serving tanks was running very low, and was pouring foamy in surges at the taps.

The serving line was not staying full and had a cavity in it.

I checked and the pump was leaking air out of the pressure adjustment knob.
I turned it down, and then turned it back up, and the leak then came out of the 90 deg elbow that juts from the underside of the pump. When I put my finger over it for a second, the leak resumed coming out of the knob.

I kegged off the remaining 1/2 bbl of beer and turned the pump all the way down for the weekend.

I have now cleaned and refilled the tank, but upon turning the pump back up it resumed leaking in the same fashion, however the beer is no longer foamy and the lines are staying full of beer.

Any ideas aside from replacing the pump?

    Thanks!
