Propeller Brewing of Halifax, Nova Scotia is seeking an experienced, professionally educated and trained individual to assist in our transition to larger production facility. The job includes but is not limited to the following, all of which will be preformed in co-ordination with current production manager both in our existing facility and in now facility as production moves and comes on line:
Perform and supervise brewing and filtration operations
Assist in brewery layout and equipment installation
Implement brew house operation procedures on new equipment
Schedule and manage packaging operations and proper maintenance procedures on packaging equipment
Education: University degree in brewing science or recognized diploma.
Experience: Minimum five years in production breweries with head brewer or production manager experience. Knowledgeable in lager, ale and wheat beer styles. Advanced organizational skills and ability to work as member of a team. Prior experience with start-ups or installations and quality control training an asset.
Some shift work may be required.
