We have an opening for a brewer in our Boston Brewery.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for all aspects of wort production and related processes
• Prior mastery Senior Cellar Operator skills
• Ability to perform all Brewhouse operations
o Start up and shutdown of facility processes
o Operation of brewhouse computer
o Milling, hop additions, antifoam additions, spice additions
• Ability to perform cider production functions
• Management of fermenters
• CIP, Sanitization, temperature monitoring
• Monitor quality parameter and work to resolve issues promptly
• Obtain samples needed for the lab
• Accurate daily record keeping
• Attend and participate constructively in meetings
• Maintain an orderly and safe working environment in department as well as entire facility
• Personal appearance and conduct reflective of professionalism and pride in Harpoon
• Participate in taste panel as directed
• Maintain brewhouse vessels in tour worthy condition
• Communicate critical information with appropriate departments
Requirements:
Ability to multitask and adjust to changing priorities
• Minimum of 4 years brewing/manufacturing experience
• Ability to work varied shifts
• Proper use of PPE
• Mechanical aptitude
• Attention to detail
