Bootlegger’s Brewery in Fullerton, CA is looking for a full time Inventory and Purchasing Associate. This is a critical office role that will be responsible to manage available supplies, materials, and products to ensure that customers and employees have the materials they need. This includes physical inventory counts, data entry, and reporting of raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods. Related to purchasing, this role is to manage the activities of the purchasing department and purchase supplies and materials at the optimal price and delivery cycle while maintaining lowest possible inventory levels. JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree from a 4 year accredited university
• Education or experience in related field such as supply chain management, business administration, or accounting preferred but not required
• Experience in a manufacturing company preferred but not required
• Experience in the beer industry preferred but not required
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel) is a must
• Experience working with QuickBooks is preferred but not required
• Experience working with Fishbowl Inventory preferred but not required
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS INVENTORY AND PURCHASING ASSOCIATE:
• Strong understanding of the entire supply chain including raw material procurement, work in process handling, and warehousing and sales of finished goods
• Inventory reporting and management
• Entry of sales orders and invoices, including receiving orders and communicating with purchasing departments from customers
• Daily review of purchase requests - Prioritizing of items as either small, necessary items for immediate purchase or larger, questionable items for further review; Entry of larger, questionable items into purchase request database to await for management review
• Physical inventory counts of raw materials, work in process, and finished goods on a daily/weekly/monthly basis at various company locations
• Review and entry of logs and reports from previous day(s) production and sales
• Review and reconciliation of physical inventory to reported inventory - Research any discrepancies to find out the cause of the discrepancy; Review of discrepancies with manager
• Understanding of the production process to avoid stock outs and ensure proper supply and reserve supply of raw materials - Clear and consistent communication with managers regarding any stock outs or potential stock outs
• Ordering supplies and raw materials to ensure optimal price and delivery cycle - Communicating with suppliers and other vendors; Following up to ensure accurate, consistent, and on time deliveries; Grouping of orders to reduce shipping cost; Ordering effectively to allow for delivery and minimize time spent on purchasing tasks
• Reporting of inventory on a weekly and monthly basis
• Understanding of logistics related to purchasing and sales
• Other duties and responsibilities as needed

• Must be able to adapt to changing roles and criteria
• Ability to respond with a sense of urgency when needed
• Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Must have a well-developed sense of humor

This is a full time, hourly, non-exempt position (40 hours per week). We have an excellent benefits packaged that includes paid vacation, sick pay, paid holidays, and health insurance. Pay will be dependent on experience. We are an equal opportunity employer.

We have five year-round core beers including Old World Hefeweizen, Palomino Pale Ale, Rustic Rye IPA, Golden Chaos Golden Ale, and Black Phoenix Chipotle Coffee Stout, plus rotating seasonal beers and other limited releases. We are currently distributed throughout Southern California with plans to expand distribution in the future.
