The Lone Peak Brewery is looking for a Head Brewer to join our team. We are brewing on a 10 BBL system and have 2700 BBL of capacity.
Job Summary: Head Brewer is responsible for all processes and procedures surrounding producing the highest quality beer possible. Duties include but are not limited to the following: raw material handling, brewhouse operations, recipe formunation, CIP processes and equipment cleaning, product transfers, kegging and bottling, information management, attending relevant meetings, general housekeeping, maintanence/repair, employing proper safety procedures, yeast and wort handling, events and promotions, etc.
Job Requirements: Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the science of brewing and fermentation and theories of the processes and equipment employed daily to accomplish our goals. This position requires the ability to manage ones self and effectively manage an assistant brewer, working in an effective and efficient manner, Head Brewer needs to be good communicator, able to follow detailed chain of instruction, fast thinker, and team player. Ability to communicate and follow direction is necessary.
Head Brewer needs to be able to work on their feet for over eight hours at a time, repeatedly lift up to 55lbs, work in extreme temperatures for extended periods of time, in loud production environments, with chemicals of varying composition, work from heights, work in damp and wet areas and work in confined spaces.
This position is ONLY being offered to educated, trained, professional brewers with minimum 2-3 years experienence.
Qualified candidates must be willing and able to relocate to Big Sky, Montana by mid to late May to get started.
