Highland Brewing Company in Asheville, NC seeks a hard working, dedicated, reliable, team-oriented, and talented person to join our team as Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Manager will maintain our physical plant in a manner that reflects our core values: quality, integrity, and respect. • Minimum of two years of relevant technical experience (brewery experience preferred)
• Strong mechanical, electrical, welding, fabrication, plumbing, and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of steam principles, HVAC, boiler, automotive, and brewery process
• Thorough understanding of safety regulations and proper safety procedures, including lock out/tag out and other required safety protocols
• Ability to work with outside contractors, obtain quotes, and execute capital projects
• Understanding of safety regulations and proper safety procedures, including lock out/tag out and other required safety protocols
• Self motivated with ability to work independently with limited direction and within a team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Computer proficiency
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and do physically demanding work
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Willingness to work on and around potentially dangerous equipment/machinery
• Willingness to work in an environment with high noise levels
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends and respond to emergencies
