Well Capitalized Start-up Brewer Needs Head Brewer
Start-up Brewery in North Orange County, California is seeking an experienced Lead Brewer
Brewer will be involved in every aspect of beer production and brewery operations.
Our Brewer must have:
*A Strong Work Ethic is More Important than Knowledge, Experience, or Passion for craft beer. Must be willing to work a Graveyard Shift.
*Three years experience working in a production brewery or brew pub with at least a working knowledge of all aspects of beer production (wort production, yeast handling, racking, fining, filtering, carbonating, packaging, CIP techniques, laboratory procedures, etc.). Additional experience in a production brewery with a knowledge of TTB and Government Reports.
*High mechanical aptitude and the ability to teach others
*An open and flexible mind and a strong desire to learn
*The ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as a member of a team
*The ability to repeatedly lift 55 lbs to a height of 5 feet and the ability to move 165 lbs.
*The ability to work on your feet for 8 hours a day
*The ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional early morning, late evening, and weekend work.
Duties will include:
*Production of wort
*Management of fermentation
*Raw materials handling
*CIP of tanks and general brewery cleanliness
*All aspects of cellar operations
*Working as a representative of the brewery at festivals and special events
*Other duties as assigned
The successful candidate must live within, or be willing to relocate to a reasonable commuting distance of the brewery for the correct candidate relocation expenses will be considered
Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
