    About the Opportunity

    This position will evaluate current sanitation and pest control programs and procedures, verifying both accuracy and efficacy of the programs and procedures while recommending improvements or corrections for optimum sanitation and pest control for all breweries. Reports to the Director of Quality Assurance.



    Ingredients To Be A Successful Manager of Sanitation:

    ◦Assist with the design, implementation, enhancement and validation of sanitation and pest elimination methods and programs across the company. Ensure uniformity of sanitation and pest elimination practices across breweries, where applicable.
    ◦Serve as sanitation expert providing guidance and technical support to Operations, Quality, R&D, Breweries and Co-packers in the areas of sanitation, pest control, environmental control programs, new equipment installation/construction changes and other food safety or quality initiatives as relating to sanitation and pest elimination processes.
    ◦Design and conduct Sanitation Audits/Assessments at breweries and co-packers to identify areas for sanitation program and practices improvements based on audit results.
    ◦Leverage sanitation and pest management vendors’ expertise to help implement a best-in-class sanitation program including: design and testing of new/improved sanitation and pest elimination methods, training materials, best practices sharing, and operational savings opportunities.
    ◦Assist with updating and communicating sanitation standards and procedures in compliance with company requirements and governmental regulations.
    ◦Proven leadership in a CPG company
    ◦Knowledgeable in ISO or other GFSI standard
    ◦Experience with sanitary design standards
    ◦Strong knowledge of pest control
    ◦Knowledge of both wet and dry cleaning techniques
    ◦Ability to interface with 3rd party sanitation support
    ◦Basic understanding of food allergens – food allergen management programs
    ◦Understanding of hygienic zoning and associated controls
    ◦HACCP training
    ◦Knowledge and ability to use critical thinking to evaluate outcomes of testing programs and make recommendations.


    To Be Mixed With:

    ◦BS degree in Microbiology, Food Science or related scientific field
    ◦10+ years in a Food Sanitation role or quality role with emphasis in sanitation
    · leadership role or functional expert role desired

    · Further education or certification in sanitation

    ◦Knowledgeable in ISO or other GFSI standard
    ◦Experience with sanitary design standards
    ◦Strong knowledge of pest control
    ◦Knowledge of both wet and dry cleaning techniques
    ◦Ability to interface with 3rd party sanitation support
    ◦Basic understanding of food allergens – food allergen management programs
    ◦Understanding of hygienic zoning and associated controls
    ◦HACCP training
    ◦Proven leadership experience.
    ◦Experience with participative leadership and time management.
    ◦Strong communication, interpersonal, and teambuilding skills.
    ◦Demonstrated ability to be successful in a collaborative team environment.
    ◦Competent in using Microsoft Office, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
    ◦Brewery experience highly desirable.
