    About the Opportunity

    We are currently looking for an Assistant Brewing Manager. The Assistant Brewing Manager is responsible for assisting with the development and formalization of corporate brewing standards, driving operational standardization, supporting new product development, industry benchmarking and new technology, supporting 3rd party production and assistance in developing brewing staff. In addition, as part of this team, this position will focus on supporting project implementation and general brewery troubleshooting and support.

    This position is based in Allentown, PA and requires travel (<25%).



    This position reports to the Sr. Brewing Manager.



    Ingredients To Be A Successful Assistant Brewing Manager

    Develop BBC corporate brewing standards. These will provide guidance to the operating brewing teams in terms of, more specific, standard operating procedure development.

    Identify Quality Control Points (QCP’s) for each process segment to ensure alignment between the breweries and to provide senior management with an accurate, easy to reference, comparison of current operational state.

    Continue to formalize the new product transition process. This will include, but is not limited to, optimizing the transition of new styles to full scale breweries, first hand support of first production and optimization of existing styles.

    Identify and implement process improvement opportunities in support of quality and gross margin company goals.

    Build bench strength within the organization with focus on developing future department and company leadership.

    Assist in building justification for critical projects, including new technology implementation (quality and operationally driven).

    Assist in achievement of key operational goals at each production facility in support of BBC goals. (Example: Quality Score achievement, Gross Margin, Continuous Improvement, etc..)

    Participate in vendor/raw material site auditing as requested. This may include international and domestic travel.







    To Be Mixed With:

    Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to brewing (Biology, Chemistry, Fermentation Science, etc..)

    Chemical Engineering; or Brewers Diploma/Certification required.

    Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the brewing industry.

    • Both operational and new product development experiences are preferred
