  • Warrior Sub: Nugget or Magnum?

Looking to transition our primary bittering hops from Warrior to either Nugget or Magnum.

Which one do y'all think would be best? Looking for the clean bittering without flavor/aroma. Would be using it for our 60min bittering additions.

    Thanks!!

    Well,
What kinds of beers are you brewing? US, GR or PL Magnum?

      My preferences:

I was a big fan of Warrior for most ales requiring a hop presence of some sort (IPA, Pale Ales, etc). Magnum is somewhat softer in its bittering properties than Warrior, and I prefer it in beers with a soft, light hop presence (lagers, light ales, I even use it as the bittering hop in my Mild). Nugget is a decent substitute...similar in bittering properties to Warrior but lower alpha acids. We've used Bravo in our hoppier beers and that gives a clean bitterness that is a little more assertive than Magnum, similar to Warrior, but nowhere near as coarse as something like Chinook or Columbus. I hope that helps!
