O'so Brewing Company is seeking a hard working, highly motivated, quality focused, safety driven, and team oriented Brewer to join the brewing team in our rapidly growing, fast paced, production brewery in beautiful Plover WI. We’re currently on pace to brew 7K BBL in 2013. Candidate will be expected to contribute on day one and willing to do other jobs around the brewery as needed with an eagerness to learn everyday.
The ideal candidate will possess:
• Must have strong communication skills with good team dynamics and possess strong planning and organizational skills.
• Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Must have prior experience and a solid understanding of all aspects of brewing, cellaring, yeast handling, CIP and sanitizing.
• Must have a strong mechanical background with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems.
• Must have the ability to execute brewery preventative maintenance (PM) program.
• Should have prior packaging, bottling and racking experience.
• Should have a good understanding of Laboratory Operations /Quality Assurance /Quality Control, with a basic knowledge of chemistry and biology.
• Should have a strong work ethic and the ability to multitask.
• Should have self-motivation and the ability to work alone, as well as the ability to work efficiently as part of a team.
• Must be flexible and willing to do whenever and whatever it takes to get the job done right. (Shift work, night shifts, weekends and overtime)
• Must be computer literate in spreadsheets and Microsoft Office.
Experience with barrel aging, both spirit and wild ales preferred as well as firkin mechanics.
Brewer will be asked to assist our young crew in growing into their positions in a positive fashion. Brewer will work closely with the Operations Manager and Head Brewer to create the absolute best beer possible. Brewer will be required to follow brewing techniques and recipes to the letter and work closely with lab technician to ensure that the product that is being produced is as close to “as designed” as possible.
