    About the Opportunity

    We are accepting applications for the Assistant Brewing Manager position in our Cincinnati brewery. The work environment is fast-paced, furious, and high-energy. You'll be working with an award-winning team with an impressive track record.

    The Assistant Brewing Manager is responsible for the operation and manufacture of Boston Beer Company products within the Brewing Department. This includes meeting safety standards, GMP standards, quality specifications, and operational efficiencies. In addition, as part of the Brewing Team, the Assistant Brewing Manager will focus on supporting project implementation and brewery troubleshooting.



    Ingredients To Be A Successful Assistant Brewing Manager

    •Ensure employees follow safety policies. Observe brewers and evaluate job activities to determine correct use of prescribed safety equipment and procedures.
    •Assist in the achievement of key operational Brewery goals (Example: Quality Score achievement, Gross Margin, Continuous Improvement, etc..)
    •Update, maintain and develop technical procedures for process steps. Observe brewers and evaluate job activities to determine correct use of proper process procedures and quality standards are achieved.
    •Manage and supervise the flow of materials and utilization of staffing to ensure adequate production of required quality to fulfill production requirements.
    •Meet with vendors, customers, quality representatives and Company personnel to discuss and resolve quality problems as required.
    •Update, maintain and develop CIP/cleaning procedures for all process equipment, pumps, valves, process lines and associated systems. Ensure all processing systems and equipment are maintained in the required level of sanitation.
    •Identify and implement process improvement opportunities in support of quality and gross margin company goals.
    •Assist in building justification for critical projects, including new technology implementation (quality and operationally driven).


    To Be Mixed With:

    •Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to brewing (Biology, Chemistry, Fermentation Science, Chem. Eng., Mech. Eng.); or Brewers Diploma/Certification required.
    •Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the brewing industry.
    • Both operational and new product development experiences are preferred.
