Full-Time Brewer Wanted
Who We Are:
We are a talented, developing, and entrepreneurial restaurant group located in the northern Virginia area. Our current project will center on brewing several different types of beer on-site in a large full service restaurant. In addition, we aim to create a destination to bring craft beer solely from the state of Virginia, into our guests’ hands, with a welcoming, neighborhood atmosphere.
What We Are Looking For:
We are in need of brew master for a brand new startup 7 BBL system. We are looking for a brewer with experience as either a head or assistant brewer and ability to work in a collaborative, tap-house atmosphere.The ideal candidate will have:
• Minimum of two years’ experience at a well-known and respected brewery.
• Demonstrated ability to work with multiple brewing styles and to create delicious and interesting new recipes.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and/or engineering background.
• Understand ability to grow and harvest a hop farm.
• Strong overall food and beverage knowledge.
• Physical ability to lift 55 lbs. to shoulder height repeatedly, stand for long periods of time, and maneuver beer kegs (165 lbs.) around the facility.
• Computer literate – Preferably experienced with Microsoft Office.
• Commitment to continuous improvement.
• Ability to maintain high quality standards without direct supervision.
• Ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
• Impeccable sanitation and personal safety mentality.
• Understand COGS on brewing operations.
• Entrepreneurial drive.
• Sense of humor.
