Hangar 24 Craft Brewery in Redlands, CA is looking for a talented and creative Writer to join its growing Flight Crew in the Marketing Department.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
The Writer/Content Creator works closely with the marketing team and all departments of the company to create compelling content for social media channels, trade publications, blogs, web and other digital content. The Writer/Content Creator will work with graphic designer, web coordinator and others in marketing to create a professional presentation of the content in as compelling a manner as possible.
This role requires professional writing experience and advanced knowledge of social media strategies and basic photography/video skills. Experience writing about craft beer is highly desired. Assignments will vary from columns, blogs, web copy, email marketing, social media, to scripts and online videos.
Proven professional writing and editorial skills, with ability to create compelling content and tell the story.
Medium to high level of craft beer knowledge is a requirement.
Experience developing and adhering to brand standards and style guide for tone, voice and consistent presentation.
Ability to edit and review work of others, proofread and fact check.
Create consistent, on-brand messaging for various audiences with different levels of knowledge of the industry.
Complete other duties, as assigned and needed for the marketing department.
Exude a positive attitude—respond to feedback with skill and professionalism
Qualifications
2+ years of professional writing experience and writing digital content.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, related field or equivalent work experience
Expertise in providing web/social media content strategy, site audits and analysis
Experience creating content for multimedia formats (e.g., audio, video, web, etc.). Basic experience in photography and video.
Solid understanding of SEO, keywords and metadata
Ability to work as a member of a team.
Take initiative to develop and create innovative content
Experience with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, Tumblr and other social media platforms, as well as mobile apps
Writing samples required, subject of craft beer highly desired.
