Assistant Brewer Job Description
Revolver Brewing, in Granbury, Texas, is seeking an Assistant Brewer. This brewer will join a highly motivated and productive team brewing for one of the fastest growing breweries in Texas.
The candidate will be involved in all aspects of brewing from milling grain to packaging beer. We are growing quickly, so we need qualified and motivated individuals to join our team.
Granbury is located 30 miles southwest of Fort Worth, Texas. Granbury is a quaint tourist destination for many in DFW because of Lake Granbury.
Revolver Brewing was founded in 2012 by Rhett Keisler, Ron Keisler, and Grant Wood. Grant was Senior Brewing Manager at The Boston Beer Company, makers of the Samuel Adams brands of beers for 16 years. The brewery is on 6.5 acre site with a purpose built building and a 30 barrel brewhouse. Check us out at revolverbrewing.com and take a virtual tour at Google.
Our Ideal Candidate:
• A minimum of 1 years of professional experience brewing on a commercial system (Production brewery or brewpub)
• Formal brewery training and/or certification (UD Davis Masterbrewer Certificate or Siebel/Doemans, etc.)
• Strong mechanical ability is required
• Self-directed and work effectively independently
• Organized, detail-oriented and attentive to quality and standards
• Flexible, accommodating, confident, team-oriented and self-reliant
• Must be able & willing to work morning, midday, overnight and/or weekend shifts
• Must be able to endure long hours on feet
• Must work well in wet conditions and hot or cold environments
• Must work safely in a fast paced industrial setting
• Must be in good physical condition and able to maneuver in confined spaces
• Able to lift 60 lbs. and move at least 165 lbs., and work in extreme hot and cold environments
• Excellent time management, prioritization, and task scheduling skills
• Some beer packaging experience is a plus
