This is a dream job for the ideal candidate. We need a Lead Brewer to run all aspects of our Tap Room brewing operations. Denver Beer Co is an up and coming brewery in the heart of Denver. We are growing and looking for a new team member to help take us to the next level. You must be energetic, forward thinking, technically sound, and ambitious. We are looking for a self starter who is used to both managing other brewers and working autonomously. Passion for beer is a must. In two short years have brewed over 250 diverse beer styles and are always experimenting with new ones!
Responsibilities:
- Manage the brewing schedule including transfers, filter runs and anticipate tap room demand
- Brew 4-8 batches/week and schedule other brewers for the same.
- Innovate new beer recipes - Want to brew with African Cucumbers? Figure out how to get them, and go for it.
- Create a diverse tap list. Our loyal tap room regulars are always looking for something new to excite their taste buds.
- Maintain a detailed inventory and order raw materials
- Keep 3 to 5 different yeast strains happy and health
- Work occasional beer festivals from setup to tear down
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of professional brewing experience required
- Formal brewing education and recipe formulation experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience in brewing high quality beers
- Desire to build, enrich and further define the quality reputation of Denver Beer Co.
- Have a desire to become a leader and innovator in the beer industry
- A positive attitude and team player
Denver Beer Co is currently brewing on a 7 barrel system using 7 barrel and 15 barrel fermentors. We specialize in high quality, distinctive beers and sell on site at our busy tasting room and through our distribution program.
