Hi everyone I'm looking to get some numbers together to start looking at opening a brewery. I figured step one transitioning from homebrew to pro would be figuring out how much it's going to cost to produce the recipes I've created. So I'm wondering how much is the markup usually for grains, hops, yeasts, etc. ? Next I figure will be getting prices on equiptment, rent, disposal, etc. Plenty of these numbers I can get on my own but I can't seem to find a good answer to what this markup is. Anyone have any ideas?

I doubt you'll get any vendors to divulge that, but from the perspective of your business model it doesn't matter. If you contact suppliers they should be happy to quote you prices, and that's the number you need to determine your COGS.

Beer is like porn. You can buy it, but it's more fun to make your own.
