  • bacteria contamination and testing

    Hey all,
I'm taste testing one of my beers and it may have a bacteria problem. It has been sitting for about 6 weeks, so I thought it might just be a change with aging, but I need to test it.
I am going thru my systems and procedures again to try to figure where it could have happened. What systems/equipment/media would you recommend for testing brewery surfaces and beer samples for contamination? Particular brand (White Labs?), or specific kit?
    Much appreciated.

All the information you need can be found here. http://www.brewingscience.com Specifically, check out the brewing without a blindfold section. A lot to digest but you can get a lab set up quickly for under $2000. We just launched our lab and are having a fun time getting deeper into the science of what we do.

Thanks for the link. Yes, involved reading and process, but I guess that's the direction I need to move further in.
      Thanks again
