Position Overview:

Position Duties:
• Responsible for the assistance in production of all ale-style beer made at that location.
• Ability to follow recipes of proprietary beers made.
• Ability to assist in the development of new products and improving the existing ones.
• Knowledge of hop varieties and their utilization.
• Knowledge of yeast cultivation and propagation. Knowledge of a variety of yeast strain profiles desired.
• Responsible for cleanliness and maintenance of brewhouse facility and all equipment.
• Ability to positively interact with the Brewmaster, restaurant management, restaurant employees, and restaurant Guests.
• Ability to productively work with the supervision of the Brewmaster.
• Ability to assist in the education of all employees about the products made.
• Ability to learn TTB reporting and TABC reporting requirements.
• Ability to learn to fill out and maintain production, ordering, and inventory control forms.
• Ability to assist in the organization of product, people, and equipment for entry in local and/or regional beer tasting events.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Minimum of 1-2 years industry experience, with formal brewing education preferred.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a recently constructed, company-owned 30 bbl. brewery in Irving, Texas.
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to work any shift including weekends and overtime.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (over eight hours a day.)
• Must be able to squat, stoop, bend, reach, twist, walk, and climb around brewery equipment as needed.
• Must be able to lift minimum 55 pounds over shoulder, and be able to repeatedly lift 40 pound empty kegs on and off the keg washer.
• Must be able to work with alkaline and acidic chemicals without allergic reactions.
• Must be able to read and comprehend brewery texts, MSDS sheets, chemical use instructions, and beer recipes.
• Must have basic working knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
• Forklift experience a plus.
