  • Electric Brewing

I am hoping I can get some good ideas on electric brewing. We hit a snag in our brewery and we are only about 2 months away from opening. We were using propane tanks with our burners and have been essentially shut down by the township because of ventilation issues. We have basically been told to use electric. We just bought brand new blichman 55 gal pots with the extension and we need to figure out the best way to incorporate electric heating. I have found a few people using heating elements but not sure that will work with the size of our pots. Please help!!!

So a 2bbl setup? You'll need 15-18k watts, so three 6000 watt elements will work in those kettles. Check out Brewmation, for around $6k you can get the panel, elements, wiring, everything. Or you can piece it together without a panel for less than half.
