Applicants must have:
• Minimum 1 year brewing experience in a Production Brewery.
• Strong mechanical background.
• Willingness to work at a VERY fast pace, yet be precise in your daily tasks.
• Strong cleaning/sanitizing skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Flexible availability. Shifts will include overnights, nights, and weekends.
• Yeast handling proficiency.
• Avid Outdoor enthusiasm.
• Independent team player with get er done attitude.
• Fairly twisted sense of humor and appreciation of fine beer.
• Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Employee to employ traditional lifting methods.
• Frequently exposed to strong and sometimes disagreeable odors and occasionally exposed to caustic chemicals.
• Must be able to record all brew house information accurately and legibly.
• Education in brewing or science a plus but not a necessity.
Oskar Blues Brewery packaged 59,000 bbls in 2011 and doubled that production, reaching over 119,000 bbls in 2013. That growth has been fueled by the addition of the second brewery in Brevard NC, which began brewing in December 2012.
