Lock 27 Brewing is an independently-owned micro brewpub, directly operated by the founder. This successful fast-paced brewpub in historic Centerville, OH is seeking an experienced brewer in support of current operations and a planned expansion in 2014. The owner is highly-involved, supportive, on-site, and interactive with entire management team and staff. Our craft beer philosophy is based on quality trumping profit, with an eye towards creativity and experimentation in the brew house. The idea candidate for this position will have the following experience, skills and attributes:
• At least two years of experience brewing and cellaring in a craft brewery or brewpub
• Raw ingredient handling and inventory management
• Knowledge of brewing science, yeast handling, and carbonation
• CIP/SIP
• Positive attitude and troubleshooting skills
• Strong organizational, record-keeping, sanitation and attention to detail skills
• Ability to work alone and with a team
• Ability to interact with brewpub guests and the public
• Strong communication skills, including verbal and written
• Good computer and software skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties efficiently
• A passion for craft beer, with a desire to learn and grow along with the company’s expansion
We pride ourselves on serious brewing in a fun and friendly environment. Must have sense of humor AND serious work ethics. This position is full time position, reporting directly to the Brew Master/Owner. Salary D.O.E.
