O'so Brewing Company is seeking a hard working, highly motivated, quality focused, safety driven, and team oriented Brewmaster to lead our brewing team in a rapidly growing, production brewery in beautiful Plover WI. Candidate will be expected to contribute on day one and willing to do other jobs around the brewery as needed with an eagerness. This is a rare opportunity to join a brewery that focuses on pushing the envelope of beer.
Must have experience in leading a production brewery and ability to motivate and lead our team as it grows.
The ideal candidate will possess:
• Must have strong communication skills with good team dynamics and possess strong planning and organizational skills.
• Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Must have prior experience and a solid understanding of all aspects of brewing, cellaring, yeast handling, CIP and sanitizing and brewery leadership.
• Must have a strong mechanical background with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems.
• Must have the ability to execute brewery preventative maintenance (PM) program.
• Should have prior packaging, bottling and racking experience.
• Should have a good understanding of Laboratory Operations/Spectrometer/Quality Assurance /Quality Control, with a basic knowledge of chemistry and biology.
• Should have a strong work ethic and the ability to multitask.
• Should have self-motivation and the ability to work alone, as well as the ability to work efficiently as part of a team.
• Must be flexible and willing to do whenever and whatever it takes to get the job done right. (Shift work, night shifts, weekends and overtime)
• Must be computer literate in spreadsheets and Microsoft Office.
Experience with barrel aging, both spirit and wild ales preferred as well as firkin mechanics. We do a lot of funky stuff and the right person for this job would embrace that.
Brewmaster will be asked to assist our young crew in growing into their positions in a positive fashion. Brewmaster will work closely with the Head Brewer to ensure the best beer possible.
Brewmaster will be responsible for all aspects of the brewery and day to day operations and decision making.
