Quest Brewing Company is a successful, growing company in Greenville, SC that began in July of 2013. We are looking for an assistant brewer to join our team. The right person will begin on the ground floor of a new Greenville, SC business. We are looking for people who are team players and are flexible in the duties they perform as we grow the business.
Assistant Brewer
Job duties include but are not limited to:
-CIP of fermenters/bright tank
-Beer transfers/prep for packaging
-Fermentation monitoring
-Kegging beer
-Coordinating and supervising canning volunteers
-Assisting brewer with day to day tasks including brewing operations
-Upkeep & cleanliness of cellars
Qualified Candidates will possess the following:
-At least six months of professional (paid) brewing experience OR a technical brewing education
-Strict attention to detail
-Strong knowledge of the brewing process
-Working to high quality standards with and without direct supervision
-Ability to lift 55 lbs to shoulder height repeatedly
-Ability to maneuver full beer kegs (165 lbs)
-A positive attitude
-The ability to communicate and interact positively with coworkers
In addition, candidates must have excellent mechanical skills, be willing to learn the overall operations of our brewery and assist in operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all systems including packaging and warehousing, while supporting other systems as necessary. Warehousing experience a major plus. Duties may also consist of packaging, warehousing and cleaning, with the opportunity to learn all facets of beer production. An ability to get along well with others and a strong passion for beer are mandatory.
Responsibilities:
Support packaging operations: bottling, canning, kegging, sorting, building boxes, cleaning and sanitizing. Warehousing: forklift operating, sorting and stacking pallets, staging orders. Must be able to perform well in a collaborative environment and maintain a safe and clean workplace.
Compensation:
Pay is based on experience and knowledge.
