Nexus Brewery has an opening for an Experienced Brewer:
Nexus Brewery is located in the heart of Albuquerque's soon to be State designated Brewery District. We are looking for a Head Brewer to take over all aspects of brewing operations. We currently produce about 650 barrels a year. With the expectation toward doubling that production and continued growth with new locations.
Job Description:
Our Head Brewer is responsible for all aspects of the brewing process from grain to glass. He/she is responsible for producing the highest quality beer possible . He/she must be able to communicate and educate our staff on beer production, styles, and culture. He/she must respectfully and professionally represent the company at various beer festivals and local events. He/she must be able to work long hours as is often common in production brewing and have a “get the job done” attitude no matter what.
Candidates Should Posses:
-Minimum of 2+ years brewing experience
-Education from an accredited brewing institution is preferred and valued
-A very strong passion for beer and a work ethic that is exemplary of that passion
-Good communication skills written and verbal
-High attention to detail in a brewery environment and a high respect for proper sanitation practices and cleanliness in a showcase brewery
-Ability to work in loud and temperature extreme environments
-Ability to lift over 50 lbs repeatedly
-Ability to keep/maintain/file all tax records and maintain up to date inventories weekly
