    Brand Sales Ambassador opportunity for Colorado start-up brewery. Horse & Dragon Brewing Company seeks qualified sales representative to join us in Fort Collins.

    The Horse & Dragon Brewing Company is a fully funded start-up located along the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains in the Napa Valley of Beer. We will produce high quality, great tasting craft beers and be an active participant in the vibrant beer culture that exists in Fort Collins and throughout Colorado. As with our beers, we strive to achieve balance in work, life and community. We are looking for a passionate, qualified brand representative to hire by April 1 to join us.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    The brand sales ambassador will establish and grow sales account coverage and brand awareness, and will encourage enjoyment of our beers on the Northern Front Range region of Colorado. Deep understanding of craft beer, the company and its brands, and the ability to positively present your knowledge to multiple audiences and in different environments are critical to success in this position. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Sales representation. You will develop and service a list of licensed customer accounts with responsibility for existing and new listings on a regular sales route. Account management will include brand introductions – to account owners, staff, and consumers; product delivery; collections; and record keeping. Setting and exceeding robust goals for sales service to accounts will be important.
    • Brand advocacy. Working with the brewery management you will help develop relevant and compelling brand promotional materials for the company. Representing the brand to consumers at festivals, tastings, beer dinners and other public events is an important part of the Brand Sales Ambassador responsibility. Be prepared to promote the brewery and brands to various stakeholders across the craft beer community.
    • Product distribution. You will service your accounts and events with product delivery, draft set-up and tear-down as required, handling of equipment and product, and empty keg returns. As with sales management, detailed record keeping is required to safeguard company assets.
    • Community outreach. Active participation in the community should come naturally to the successful applicant. In addition to attending beer-related events and forums, we expect all employees to volunteer with local organizations they feel are important.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    We require an enthusiastic beverage sales professional with the following qualifications to build brand sales, distribution and image for the company:
    • Passionate about knowledge and selling of amazing craft beers. Previous experience with craft beer brands in some capacity a plus.
    • Minimum 2 years sales experience preferably in beverage with demonstrated success in setting and exceeding sales goals, distribution goals, and customer satisfaction goals.
    • Experience dealing with alcohol retail trade – on- and off-premise – preferred. You must have the ability and maturity to negotiate positive sales outcomes and brand presentations for account decision-makers.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and present brands in a compelling and approachable manner to multiple audiences – consumers, trade customers, servers, the general public.
    • Must be a flexible contributor to our small team and willing to work outside of normal duties and business hours when required.
    • Minimum bachelor’s degree required, in a related field preferred. Recognized beer qualifications, certifications or other training a plus, although experience will substitute for formal degrees or certifications.

    ABILITIES AND SKILLS:
    • Must be able to handle the rigors of working within a production brewery environment and with our products at accounts and events:
    o Able to lift 55 lbs and move 165 lbs occasionally.
    o Able to be flexible to work non-standard work week.
    o Able to safely operate a forklift and hand truck.
    • Should enjoy social interaction.
    • Must have good time management and task scheduling skills.
    • Must be responsible, self-directed and able to work effectively on your own.
    • Must have valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
