Heavy Seas is a rapidly growing brewery in Baltimore. Our production will exceed 40,000 bbls this year. We just commissioned a new KHS bottling line and are planning for the arrival of a new 5-vessel, 60 bbl Newlands Brewhouse that will push our capacity over 100,000 bbls. We currently operate a 50-bbl Pub brewhouse, brewing around the clock M-F.
We seek a brewer who has a minimum of one-year's experience in a production brewery and/or has completed an accredited brewing education. Shift work will be required on a rotating basis. Brewer will report directly to the Brewing Team Leader and be part of a larger Production Team that encompasses Brewery, Packaging, Maintenance, Shipping/Warehouse, and QA/QC. Primary duties will include wort production, filtration, tank cleaning, and meeting any/all needs of the Brewery Team. All the standard brewery work requirements apply - lift 55lbs, work in cold/wet/hot environments, love beer, yadda yadda yadda.
