    South Florida Account Representative - Funky Buddha Brewery

    Funky Buddha Brewery located in Oakland Park, Florida, is seeking a full-time account representative to join its growing team. Established in 2010 at its Boca Raton brewpub, Funky Buddha is known for combining traditional brewing methods with culinary-inspired recipes utilizing all natural, food-centric ingredients. Some of its most well-known beers include flagships Hop Gun IPA and Floridian Hefeweizen, Maple Bacon Coffee Porter, No Crusts Peanut Butter and Jelly Brown Ale, and Last Snow Coffee Porter.

    Funky Buddha’s production brewery - opened in June 2013 - features a 30bbl, three vessel brewhouse and is currently annualizing ~4000 bbls in draught beer sales, with projections to grow to over 10,000 bbls by the end of 2014. Six-pack bottles and off-premises distribution in the Florida market will come online in fall 2014. This fast growing company is the first production brewery in the greater Fort Lauderdale area and the largest brewery in South Florida, and is positioned for rapid expansion over the next few years.

    Responsibilities:

    As an Account Representative with Funky Buddha Brewery, the candidate will directly be responsible for all aspects of the sales territory including seeking and closing new accounts, retaining and growing current business, POS and brewery visibility in accounts, staff training and brewery education, and working with our distributor to execute and manage our positions in the market.

    Additional responsibilities include:
    • Achieving sales and marketing goals set on a monthly basis
    • Acquiring new placements for Funky Buddha product in retail accounts
    • Organizing and executing events at accounts and in the market including beer dinners, tap takeovers, festivals, tasting events, and samplings
    • Manage relationships at key accounts while identifying and targeting growth accounts
    • Working closely with our distributor to assist their team in the market in executing work withs and sales performance initiatives



    Job Requirements:

    The ideal candidate should possess a passion for our beer, strong sales skills, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to grow and maintain relationships with key decision makers. Being a highly self-motivated individual with a strong sense of personal responsibility is crucial to this role. Additional requirements include:
    • 21 years of age
    • A minimum of one years of experience in a sales role dealing with on- and off-premises retail accounts
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
    • License to sell alcoholic beverages in the state of Florida, and/or legal ability to acquire said license
    • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
    • Strong organizational habits, a self-motivated work ethic, and good critical thinking/problem solving skills
    • Able to work nights and weekends and travel regionally for the company
    • Computer literate with an understanding of Microsoft Office and Excel
    • A strong passion for American craft beers as well as a detailed knowledge of the brewing process, beer styles, beer presentation, and rudimentary beer dispense
    • Knowledge of beer distribution and the three-tier system and applicable Florida beverage law
    • A good palate, especially for beer
    • Personal vehicle with good driving record and personal liability insurance (we offer an automotive allowance)
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs
    • Smart phone (we offer a phone allowance)
