JOB TITLE: Packaging Supervisor
LOCATION: Warrenville, IL
REPORTS TO: Packaging Manager
POSITION TYPE: Full- Time, Salary

Job Role:
This position reports to the Packaging Manager and has direct responsibility in leading the hourly production and maintenance teams in the departments day-to-day operations. Reporting to this position are Packaging and Maintenance Operators. Must be able to work both day and afternoon shifts.
Duties include the following:
- Must be able to work in and promote a team oriented and Safety First culture. Safely, efficiently and effectively work to attain department and brewery goals and
objectives
- Oversee daily functions of all Packaging employees working on the bottle, can, and keg lines and the hourly Maintenance technician(s)
- Ensure that all beer that leaves the packaging department meets all Two Brothers Brewing quality specifications
- Within the guidelines of safety and quality, ensure completion of packaging schedule in a timely manner
- Knowledgeable of Two Brothers Brewing policies and procedures and administers them in a fair and consistent manner ensuring standards are kept at all times
- Perform maintenance and/or schedule techs to keep equipment up and running
- Lead operators in improving line efficiencies and decreasing material loss
- Support and foster a high performance team environment through highly motivated, engaged operators to support a climate of continuous improvement
- Ensure daily and consistent communications and weekly meetings are provided for hourly operators. Communicates between management and packaging team
- Reporting, investigation and accurate communications for work related injuries
- Conduct training in all aspects of job as well as administering certification programs
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervises three (3) brewery packaging lines (Can, Bottle & Keg)
- Manages nine (9) direct reports (Packaging Operators & Maintenance Technicians)
Experience:
- Must have 3+ years of brewery or other production experience, proven leadership and supervisory skills/experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a hands on approach to working on machinery
- Proven problem solving/conflict resolution skills; be able to think through issues and arrive at well thought-out conclusions
- Ability to successfully motivate and coach others
- Strong follow through, communication, interpersonal, and team building skills
- Highly effective multi-tasker; resourceful with a 'get-it-done, can-do' attitude
- Must practice safe work methods and comply with wearing and using the proper PPE 100% of the time on the floor and always work in a safe manner.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs repetitively throughout the shift
- Tolerate Hot and Cold temperature conditions in Production Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to endure on a daily basis; walking, standing, sitting, kneeling, and crouching.
- Must be able to work assigned shifts as needed (Days or Afternoons)
Materials/Machines/Equipment Used:
- Automated packaging equipment
- Touch screen machine controls
- Forklift trucks and Scissor lift
- A variety of hand and power tools
- Cleaning agents and other hazardous chemicals
- Compressed air or other gasses, including C02
- Desktop computer (Word, Excel and Outlook)
