Overview
Northern United Brewing Company, brewers of Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales and North Peak, is looking for a new cellar staff team member. The position includes work in both the Jolly Pumpkin and North Peak Cellars. The opening is a 40-hour-a-week position, which is paid on an hourly basis. This position reports to the head brewer and master brewer.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
• Monitor gravities, pH, and temperature of Fermentation Vessels.
• Priming of conditioning tanks prior to packaging.
• Fermentation Vessel and Brite Beer Tank CIP and sanitation.
• Yeast harvesting.
• Transfers from Oak to Brite Beer Tanks.
• Transfers from Fermentation Vessel to Oak.
• Transferring/fining beers from Fermentation Vessel to Brite or Conditioning Tanks.
• Dry hopping/Brite Tank additions.
• Cleaning kegs.
• Filling kegs.
• Work on packaging lines if necessary.
• General equipment maintenance.
• Accurate record keeping.
• Forklift operation.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 1-2 years experience. (Please do not apply if you don’t meet this criteria)
• Positive attitude/strong work ethic.
• Passion for craft beer and working in a team-first environment.
• Ability to lift 55lbs.
• Flexibility in regard to scheduling.
• Strong desire to learn and grow.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
