    JOB TITLE: Graphic Designer
    LOCATION: Administrative Office
    REPORTS TO: Marketing Manager
    POSITION TYPE: Full-time, Salaried
    EXTERNAL POSTING DATES: 03/27/2014-04/20/2014

    POSITION SUMMARY: As a key member of the Marketing department, the Graphic designer will work collaboratively with the Marketing and Sales departments to design and execute eccentric and original work for a variety of marketing initiatives, events and promotions. The graphic designer will develop creative ideas, solutions and concepts to grow the Bell’s brand by choosing the appropriate media and style to produce a high visual impact.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following.
    •Adheres to and advances the “Safety Always” culture of Bell’s Brewery.
    •Creates and designs marketing materials for the organization; such as print ads, posters, point-of-sale materials, mock-ups, digital/website/banner ads, branding elements etc.
    •Ensures ideas and concepts align with Marketing objectives.
    •Presents finalized ideas and concepts in accordance with time lines.
    •Manages and maintains all graphic files including logos, photos, art, etc.
    •Participating in Marketing activities; such as brainstorming sessions and conceptualizing processes.
    •Works closely with the sales department to gather necessary information to provide support to sales for promotional and event materials.
    •Proofreads all designs to produce accurate and high-quality work.
    •Contacts vendors and printers to check order statuses and plan future needs, foster vender relationship.
    •Acts as the Point-of-Contact for outside graphic agency partners.
    •Provide both internal and external customers with the highest level of customer and design services, and communicates effectively with both internal/external clients with a positive, professional attitude.
    •Adheres to MLCC and other states regulatory standards.
    •Keeps informed of graphic design industry directions and trends with the ability to identify areas of impact within the company.
    •Implement changes as directed for all design projects.
    •Assists with ongoing Marketing projects.

    Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

    MATERIALS/MACHINES/EQUIPMENT USED:
    •Advanced proficiency in the following software:
    oPC Adobe Photoshop CS5
    oPC Adobe Illustrator CS5
    oPC Adobe InDesign CS5
    oPC Adobe Bridge CS5
    oPC Adobe Acrobat
    •MS Office products; including Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point

    IMPORTANT SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
    •Strong time management skills with a proven ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
    •Demonstrate a great deal of creativity and originality
    •Strong visual sense and a creative flair
    •Self-directed individual who is a team player
    •Strong computer skills
    •Excellent communication skills; written, verbal and presentation
    •An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels
    •Strong attention to detail
    •Flexibility and adaptability to an ever changes environment

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:
    •Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Graphic design, Interactive Design, Marketing, Fine Arts, Advertising, or related field.
    •Minimum of three (3) years of graphic design experience.
    •Print and web graphic design, illustration, computer graphic software, and desktop publishing/document layout experience.
    •A keen sense of design and knowledge of typography.
    •Moderate level of craft beer product knowledge.
    •Passion for craft beer!

    •While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk, use a computer and other office equipment.

    •Work is primarily performed in an office environment with occasional trips to operational areas required.
