Requirements:
* HS Diploma or equivalent. Certification in brewing or related field preferred
* 3-5 years brewery experience
* Work well independently and cooperatively with others
* Strong communication skills spanning all levels within the organization
* Mechanical aptitude for equipment repairs and trouble shooting
* Valid driver's license and clean driving record to include no DUI's
* Flexible schedule to accommodate seasonal production demands
Job Duties:
* Assist the Head Brewer in the production of beer
* Brewers participate in all facets of brewhouse and cellar operations and including but not limited to wort production, yeast management, record keeping, fermentation management, and cleaning and sanitizing tanks
* Assist with the operation of the brewery's canning and bottling lines following all established policies and procedures
* Efficiently operate all brewing equipment including the brew house, filters, keg machine, cleaning supplies, miller, and all other brewing-related materials
* Position also requires some non-brewing work related to sales and representing the brewery at festivals, sampling events, etc.
* Effectively and safely operate a forklift and/or hand truck to transport company products
* Walk, stand and/or drive for more than 90% of the workday
* Frequent trips up and down stairs, bending, stooping and/or twisting
* Manipulate small tools and machinery
* Wear protective equipment to include non-slip shoes with reinforced toes, chemical resistant gloves, safety glasses and hearing protection
* Comply with all safety and health regulations
Wage/Hours:
* Full Time
* Monday through Sunday (days may vary)
* Depending on experience
