  • Amber Belgian Candy Syrup in a Tripel?

    Doing my Tripel and only have Amber Candi syrup on hand. (left over from a Winter Warmer).

    It only makes up about 10% of my bill and I was wondering if anyone has used it in a Tripel and if it might contribute too much color and flavor? Normally Id use clear.

    Should i just used Corn Sugar instead? Cane?

    There is basically no difference between clear candi syrup and dextrose, at least as far as fermentation profile, besides price and the fact that it's in liquid form already. I have used the two interchangeably and noticed no difference in the final product.
