Brewery Assistant
We currently have two positions open for our cellar/brewery team. Please send resumes and salary requirements to jobs@tapistrybrewing[dot]com. The right candidates will have a solid work ethic. More experienced applicants may start brewing immediately, however all employees are expected to do ALL tasks in the brewery including the less glorious jobs. Brewers will have a chance to develop recipes and help with the overall direction of the business.
Tapistry Brewing is a year-old microbrewery located in beautiful Bridgman, MI with a wide portfolio of beer styles. We run a 15 BBL system for distribution and taproom sales.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a year experience on a 10bbl system or larger
Be able to stand on their feet for 10+ hours per day
Be able to work any shift in a 24 hour schedule
Be able to lift 75 lbs or more
Work in hot, cold and wet environments
A high school degree or GED, brewing coursework preferred
Have a passion for cleaning
Work with little supervision
Reliable transportation
Be able to work as a team
Responsibilities:
Brewhouse Operations, brewing quality and consistent beer in both 15BBL and 1 BBL quantities including: Milling, Mashing, Whirlpooling, Cooling and Fermenting
Maintain cleanliness and sanitization of equipment and work area
Racking, dry-hopping, fining and carbonating beer
Transferring beer
Pitching and harvesting yeast
Tracking brewing and fermentation progress with logs
Read and follow SOPs
Focussing on product quality and personal safety
