Packaging Manager
Left Hand Brewing Company is looking for an outstanding candidate to join our rapidly growing brewery in Longmont, CO., located in the heart of the foothills and gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park. The Packaging Manager will be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe & clean work environment that improves/maintains the performance of our production line and personnel. Other responsibilities include managing departmental records, documents and budgetary accounts assigned to the position, as well as maintaining inventory & upkeep of materials and supplies to support needs.
Essential Functions:
• Managing of packaging operations
• Maintain timely and accurate records of all packaged beer for Excise Tax purposes
• Maintenance of area and equipment
• Assure preventative maintenance is being completed on all packaging equipment and being logged in Bigfoot maintenance software
• Manage all aspects of packaging operations: equipment, work areas regarding proper operation and cleanliness
• Manage all packaging personnel: scheduling, training, hiring, dismissal and safety
• Participate in the planning and execution of department expansion initiatives
• Writing and maintenance of department SOP’s
Requirements or preferred experience:
• Minimum 5 years packaging management experience required (Brewery industry preferred)
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills required
You will be a great fit for this position if:
• You have relevant educational background (i.e. Engineering, Brewing or Food Sciences)
• You have experience in leading the development of a packaging hall expansion
• Your nature is to mentor and teach others
• You are highly organized and able to prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines
• You have a strong desire for results and ability to bring projects to completion
This position reports directly to our VP of Brewing Operations
This is a full time salaried position with benefits package including medical, dental, vision, Simple IRA, paid time off and of course world class beer. Rate of Pay: $50 - $65k DOE. (Please do not apply if your salary requirements exceed our ROP, this is non-negotiable)
