Denver Beer Co., Denver, CO, is seeking a part time Cellarperson for our Platte St brewery.
Denver Beer Co is a local brewery in the heart of Denver. We are growing and looking for a new team member. The ideal candidate will be energetic, forward thinking, and ambitious. Passion for beer is a must. We love making new friends and hanging with old ones!
Primary Responsibilities
-General Cellar responsibilities including, taking gravities daily, fermentation monitoring, dry hopping, general cleanup, tank polishing, cooler organization
-Keg cleaning and filling
-Line cleaning
-Simple lab testing such as grain sieve testing, yeast measurments, etc.
-CIPing tanks and equipment
-Hand bottling
-Assist with transferring beer and barrel projects
-Tapping kegs for the BBL Room
-Occasional festival and event help
Knowledge and Skills
Homebrewing or professional brewing experience preferred
Knowledge of safe chemical handling
Strong mechanical aptitude
Computer proficiency (basic use of word, excel, and email)
Work Environment:
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Able to stand for long periods of time (up to 8-10 hours per day).
Able to frequently lift heavy materials (minimum 55 lb. boxes shoulder high up to 50 times daily) and full kegs.
Occasional work on tanks over 23 inches high
Able to work with hazardous chemicals
Handling of hazardous materials.
Exposure to hot fluids
Exposure to pressurized vessels and transfer lines
Exposure to extremely variable temperature levels.
Performing job with and around moving machinery
We offer a competitive wage for this part time (about 15-20 hrs/week) position. The right person may grow within our growing company as well. Hours will be flexible, however availability in the late afternoon and early evening is preferred.
