  • flowmeter/water totalizer -- sanitary or non?

I'm looking for a water totalizer to measure volume into the tun from our filtered on-demand hot water heaters. It has to handle high temps, but the question is do I need a sanitary one?

I've found a couple relatively cheap options,

    http://www.globalspec.com/pdf/viewpdf?partId={68644B6E-AF7C-417E-82D0-1F69070DA5F9}&comp=1863&r=1&from=detail&vid=93224

    takes 194 degrees, and

Flows.com is a leading supplier of quality flow measurement products specializing in flow meters. Find your flow solutions at Flows.com!

also takes up to 194 degrees, and

Designed for water billing applications, OMEGA's FTB-4000 flowmeters are highly accurate and feature tamper-resistant, non-resettable totalizers.

which handles up to 200 degrees.

Is there anything in the composition of these units that should deter me? Is sanitary necessary at this point?

    I appreciate any advice.
    Thanks,
    Dave

That's a sanitary one around $900. The non-sanitary is less than $200. Again it is only used during mash in to measure volume.
