Hey there interested parties. We are in the process of setting up a 10 Bbl direct fire brewery in Las Cruces and we need a qualified Head Brewer.
Experience with start ups is greatly desired for our project.
Other than all the regular duties included in your bag of tools - we are also wanting the following attributes,
- At least 5 years experience as Head or Lead Brewer in either a production or pub facility.
- Some formal brewing education (Siebel gets dibs).
- Good working knowledge of required TTB tax forms.
- Ability to lead a small crew with absolute clarity and focus on production goals.
- Lab and QA/QC skills and the ability to define protocol for an ongoing program.
- A good mechanical sense for installing and maintaining all brewery equipment.
- Knowledge and ability to draft and execute a five year plan for the brewery.
- A good sense of humor and a sense of urgency in instituting correct procedures.
Too many more to list, but you get the idea. Pay will be based on experience. The right personality is key for this position. Wages will be a bit lower at startup, but will grow with the company - so we want someone willing to "stick."
