We are looking for a Packaging Manager who has a passion for beer and strong work ethic. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a production brewery. The position will wear many hats, but primarily serve as the lead manager and head of the packaging department. The Packaging Manager will oversee a team of 4 full time packaging technicians and 10 part-time techs.
Brewery operations are extremely physical, so the candidate must be comfortable being on their feet for long hours and moving full sized kegs (165 lbs). This is a full time position and all applicants must be over 21.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
- Good communication and management skills
- Works well in a fast-paced, team environment
- General mechanical, electrical and plumbing knowledge
- Previous packaging experience required (bottling and/or canning)
- Capable of standing for long periods (8+ hours)
- Organizing cases and kegs on a regular basis
- Cleaning and filling kegs
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Doesn't mind working long and irregular hours (night/weekend shifts and long days likely)
- Must be able to quickly relocate to the Vail Valley area of Colorado and find their own housing
- Must have own transportation
Safety is of the most importance when working around packaging equipment. The candidate will need to be able to operate in a safety-conscious environment.
