Shmaltz Brewing Company is an award-winning craft brewing company founded in San Francisco in 1996 and reborn in 2013 with a new 50-barrel, 20,000 square foot brewery and 1,700 square foot tasting room at 6 Fairchild Square, Clifton Park. We are looking for a full-time tasting room manager/sales associate to join our tribe. The position will begin as a nearly full-time position, ramping up to full-time and on-call to work special events and local/regional sales.
Qualifications:
• Minimum one year (preferably 2+) of relevant retail experience (beverage industry experience preferred, but not mandatory).
• Cicerone Certified Beer Server preferred but not required.
• Management experience.
• Customer service, sales and merchandising experience.
• POS (Square) knowledge.
• Detail-oriented and incredibly organized.
• Ability to operate both independently and in a team environment.
• Overall love and enthusiasm for craft beer.
• Creative and self-motivated.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Customer service and sales
• Local marketing and outreach
• Inventory management
• Merchandising and product promotion
• Local travel
• Moderate to heavy lifting
• Light cleaning
• Event planning and organization
• New business development
