    Monday Night Brewing (Atlanta, GA) is seeking a shift brewer to join our small team and assist in all aspects of brewing operations. You will be working on a 4-vessel 30 BBL brewhouse, with 12,000 BBL of annual fermentation capacity. Start date is immediate.

    Brewer will assist in all aspects of beer production and packaging, with a heavy emphasis on brewing. However, brewer will provide as-needed assistance in cellar operations, filtration, cleaning and sanitation and maintenance of brewery equipment.

    Qualifications:
    • Must love making beer. Like, really love it.
    • Minimum 2 years brewing beer professionally
    • Must have the ability to work alone and with others
    • Must have a strong working knowledge of OSHA and TTB regulations
    • Safety-mindedness is of the utmost importance (lifting, chemicals, hot liquids and hardware, inhalation hazards, noise)
    • Willingness and ability to step in wherever needed

    Responsibilities:
    • Beer brewing (all steps, from milling grain to finished product)
    • Raw materials monitoring, ordering, receiving and handling
    • Cellar duties (CIP, SIP, tank purging, DE filtration, fining and transferring, fermentation monitoring, among others)
    • Yeast handling (collection, propagation)
    • Cleaning the brewery, equipment, and beer lines religiously
    • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
    • Excellent sensory analysis skills to maintain quality control
    • Precise record-keeping for all raw materials, packaging materials, government records, production records, shipping/receiving documents
    • Exceptional forklift driving skills
    • Must have a strong working knowledge of OSHA and TTB regulations
    • Managing the safety of the brewery and production area: Safety-mindedness is of the utmost importance (lifting, chemicals, hot liquids and hardware, inhalation hazards, noise)
    • Keg washing and filling
    • Bottle filling and labeling
    • Assisting Head Brewer and other Brewers in any and all tasks

    Optional, but not required:
    • Good mechanical skills (welding, carpentry, electrical, steam, plumbing)
    • Lab skills
    • A degree or certification in brewing science
    • Bearded

    Physical demands
    • This position is extremely physical and demanding in nature and involves working with potentially dangerous equipment, machinery, exposure to high noise levels, and handling of hazardous materials
    • Stands and/or traverses brewery for long periods of time
    • Frequently climbs stairs/staircase
    • Frequently bends, moves, transports, or lifts 60 pounds and move 165 pounds safely.
    • Use repetitive motions when brewing
    • Can work in both hot and cold temperatures
