We have an IPA and a Pale ale that have recently started developing sediment after bottling. The sediment is not visible at the time of bottling and the bottles do not appear hazy at the time of bottling, but after a couple of days, when a bottle is agitated, the sediment is visible.
The beer is not filtered, but is centrifuged before entering the bright tank. The sediment appears in both warm and cold bottles and if the sediment is just dissolved into solution and is settling out, once it is settled, it doesn't dissolve back into solution like a haze, it remains chunky as in the attached picture.
It does not impart any real noticeable flavor to the beer and appears somewhat crystalline under the microscope.
Has anyone else experienced a similar issue and know what is happening? So far, it is only affecting our IPA and Pale.
