Grand Junction Brewing Co. is looking for a qualified candidate to join our brewing team.
We are a young and rapidly expanding brewery/brew pub located in Westfield, IN, right in the heart of Central Indiana. Our immediate area is currently undergoing major economic growth, including the opening of one of the largest amateur sports complexes in the country. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate. This position will have significant advancement potential.
The Brewer will be involved in every aspect of beer production and brewery operations.
A Brewer candidate must have:
*A very strong passion for craft beer and brewing in general.
*Experience working in a production brewery or brew pub with a working knowledge of all aspects of beer production (milling, wort production, yeast handling, racking, fining, carbonating, packaging, CIP techniques, laboratory procedures, etc.).
*A high mechanical aptitude and problem solving ability.
*An open and flexible attitude and a strong desire to learn.
*The ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as a cohesive member of the entire GJBC team.
*The ability to lift 55 lbs of weight to a height of 5 feet and the ability to move 165 lbs.
*The ability to work on your feet for 8 hours a day.
*The ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional early morning, late evening, and weekend work.
Duties will include:
*Production of wort
*Management of fermentation and glycol cooling systems
*Raw materials handling
*CIP of tanks and general brewery cleanliness
*All aspects of cellar operations
*Working as a representative of the brewery at festivals and special events
*Other duties as assigned
The candidate must live within, or be willing to relocate to a reasonable commuting distance of Westfield, IN.
Compensation will be competitive within the industry and commensurate with experience.
