Flix Brewhouse, the world’s only first run cinema eatery to include a fully functioning craft brewery is expanding and we are seeking qualified brewers for future locations. Based out of Round Rock (Austin) Texas we entered the scene in 2011 and business has been fantastic. We have two locations currently under construction, one in Des Moines, Iowa scheduled to open 12/14 and the other in Carmel (Indianapolis), Indiana to open 3/15. We currently offer 6 full time, year round beers as well as several seasonal and limited releases that will vary at different locations. We are looking to fill two positions at each location, one for a full time, salaried Lead Brewer and one for a part time hourly Assistant Brewer.
Lead Brewer duties will include but are not limited to-
-All aspects of beer production from milling/mashing in to fermentation and cellaring including carbonation, yeast management, and dispense
-Cleaning and sanitation of all equipment
-Monthly inventory of all ingredients, product and chemicals
-Working closely with the Head Brewer on new beer recipe formulation
-Overseeing and communicating duties of the Assistant Brewer
-Communicating and explaining new beer offerings with Management and staff
-must work extremely well independently and cooperatively with others
We prefer candidates with a true passion for the art of brewing and with at least 3 years brewing experience, ideally in a brewpub environment. Mechanical inclination and general understanding of fluid dynamics highly beneficial.

Assistant Brewer duties will include but are not limited to-
-Monitoring fermentations with the Lead Brewer
-Transferring of beers from fermenter to serving tanks
-CIP of tanks, draught line cleaning, cleaning and filling kegs
-Working with and assisting the Lead Brewer as needed with all brewing related duties.
-This position will require approximately 20 -25 hours/week and offers a competitive wage dependent on experience.
Of course both positions require heavy lifting and the ability to work on your feet for 8 hours or more.
