    JOB TITLE: Web Developer
    LOCATION: Admin Building
    REPORTS TO: Director of IT
    POSITION TYPE: Full Time, Salaried
    EXTERNAL POSTING DATES: 06/30/2014-07/20/2014

    POSITION SUMMARY: Design, create, and modify websites. Analyze user needs to implement website content, graphics, performance, and capacity. May integrate websites with other computer applications.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    •Adheres to and advances the “Safety Always” culture of Bell’s Brewery.
    •Plans site design by clarifying goals and designing functionality.
    •Able to approach development with modularity in mind to accommodate shifting priorities.
    •Responsible for executing clean and progressively enhanced code for complex designs that reflect the creative and artistic direction provided within the established technical framework and meets industry standards.
    •Creation of all coded presentation layer deliverables.
    •Upgrades site by updating content and graphics; monitoring performance and results; identifying and evaluating improvement options; introducing new technology; maintaining links.
    •Develops site navigation by categorizing content; funneling traffic through content.
    •Works closely with marketing, graphic designer, information architects and business analyst to ensure that the technology will deliver value.
    •Protects sites by designing and installing security precautions.
    •Maintains site appearance by developing and enforcing content and display standards; editing submissions.
    •Utilizes web development software to integrate databases and other information systems.
    •Takes the initiative to research and learn emerging technologies.
    •Creates Intranets and develops external web portals.

    Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

    MATERIALS/MACHINES/EQUIPMENT USED:
    •Advanced proficiency in the following software:
    oHTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, .NET, ASP, C# and other UI technologies
    oMS Office products: Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point

    IMPORTANT SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
    •Strong time management skills with a proven ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work to balance multiple projects and tight deadlines
    •Able to shift between a creative and a technical focus depending on the project need and/or the type of project
    •Strong attention to detail
    •Demonstrate a great deal of creativity and originality
    •Strong understanding of how people consume web content
    •Self-directed individual who is a team player
    •Excellent communication skills; written, verbal and presentation
    •An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels
    •Flexibility and adaptability to an ever changing environment

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:
    •Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
    •Minimum of two (2) years experience:
    oHand-coding HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, .NET, ASP, C# and other UI technologies
    oDesigning, developing, and deploying systems on web servers
    oUsing an open source web language (PHP, Ruby, Python) or other frameworks used to develop dynamic web pages
    oUsing Apache, IIS, MySQL & MS SQL
    •Understanding of services architectures (REST, JSON, etc).
    •Experience using any CMS system (Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla, etc).
    •Experience in developing and testing across multiple devices, platforms, DOM implementations, and browsers (traditional desktop and mobile devices), using tools such as Fiddler, Firebug, YSlow, Google PageSpeed, etc.
    •A proven track record of delivering websites & mobile applications.
    •Prior experience building and maintaining corporate website(s).
    •Understanding of the mobile landscape, including native applications (iOS, Android, WP7).
    •Experience using web application development tools, such as version control software and IDEs, testing and build tools.
    •Experience with social API’s like Facebook, Twitter, etc.
    •Understands and implements presentation layer concepts such as progressive enhancement and responsive design.
    •Knowledge of backend/external system integration a plus.
