Veritas Vineyard LLC dba Grand River Marketplace is a family owned micro-brewery, winery, restaurant and distillery located in historic downtown Jackson, MI. This position will involve working with both spirits and beer products. We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and hard working candidate that is capable of contributing to the development and growth of Grand River. Responsibilities
This role will focus on brewing and mashing for both beer and spirits production but will also have a significant role and opportunity to learn and support distillation operations.
• Mashing for distilled spirits production (including corn, rye, bourbon and other whiskey styles)
• Brewing
• Fermentation management
• Cleaning and sanitation of brewing, distilling, and packaging equipment
• Distillation of various spirits including whiskey, vodka, and brandy
• Proofing, blending and barreling of spirits
Requirements
• 4+ years commercial brewing experience preferred
• Associates degree in applicable science or formal training at an accredited brewing school preferred
• Flexible schedule and willingness to work various shifts as required (including first, second, third and weekends)
• Strong mechanical skills
• Strong organization and communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work as part of a small, focused team while also capable of self starting and working independently and without supervision
• Ability to bend, reach and lift 55 lbs
• Passionate about brewing world class beers.
