JOB TITLE: Southern California Sales Manager
LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA
POSITION TYPE: Full-time
START DATE: September 1, 2014
Three Weavers is looking to hire an outgoing and energetic Southern California Sales Manager. We are looking for an individual who has a passion for craft beer and the desire to grow our company. Preference will be given to those who are currently residing in the Los Angeles area and who have craft beer sales experience at the brewery or distributor level.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Aggressively pursue new on-premise and off-premise accounts
• Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with account staff and distributor sales personnel
• Motivate distributor sales personnel to achieve sales objectives
• Assume a leadership role in implementing key brewery initiatives and quality standards with distributors and retail accounts
• Educate distributors and retail accounts on brewery quality standards
• Organize and participate in field education and outreach with consumers, retail accounts, and distributors
• Plan and execute on-premise and off-premise promotional events
• Train and manage future sales and sales support teams
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must love beer
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred and prior experience in a beer sales position is required.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as needed – this position has a lot of potential evening and weekend work
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with retail accounts, distributors, and all internal stakeholders
• Excellent time management skills – this position requires the ability to be proactive
• Self motivation – this position requires a high level of independence with little supervision
• Ability to work both independently and with a team to accomplish goals
• Must be familiar with market territory
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb
