  • Retail Manager at Trillium Brewing Company in Boston, MA

    We are in search of an energetic, multi-tasking, people-person to run our tasting room and manage our wholesale accounts. The ideal candidate is confident, inspiring, and team-oriented. Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and feel comfortable directing a team toward a common goal. This individual will be expected to proactively find solutions to improve processes and quickly manage and execute change.

    Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

    Retail

    Leading a team of 6-8 tasting room employees to create the best Trillium experience we can offer customers, including greeting, sampling, filling orders, and answering questions about Trillium.

    Operate point-of-sale system and cash register, and reconcile daily balances and bank deposits.

    Manage and reconcile merchandise inventory system, including supplies and retail displays.

    Maintain and clean draft equipment, fill growlers, troubleshoot.

    Manage retail and event schedule.
    Account Management

    Communicate with current account representatives to ensure a good working relationship with Trillium, including quality of product and presentation, weekly allocations, and payment and invoicing.

    Respond to inquiries from potential accounts and manage current waitlist.

    Work with Trillium’s Cellarman to manage keg inventory and delivery schedule.
    Miscellaneous

    Update and maintain Trillium’s website and newsletter.

    Coordinate on-site customer events.

    Whatever comes up!
    Qualifications:

    Retail/customer service experience required.

    Team management experience required.

    Must be able to lift 60lb kegs and stand on feet for 8 hour shifts.

    TIPS training required within 30 days of beginning work.

    Ability to accurately and concisely describe beer flavors and characteristics to others.

    Must be able to keep calm under pressure and communicate clearly, with composure and enthusiasm, to customers.

    Must thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and be comfortable with a small, quickly growing business and team.

    MUST have a passion for craft beer and the brewing process!
